Celebration of Independence Week
Competitions, Har Ghar Tiranga, and Selfie with Tiranga
(08-15 August 2022)
Institute of Chemical Technology Marathwada Campus Jalna participated in the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) to mark the 75 Years of Independence, an initiative of Govt of India. We celebrated Independence Week (10-15 August 2022) and organized various competitions for the students.
Elocution (Topic- “75 Years of Independence and Chemical Technology: Past, Present and Future”) and Singing competition (“patriotic song”) were held on 08 August 2022. Debate Competition (Topic- “The Impact of the Use of Chemical in Everyday Life: Pros and Cons”) was held on 10 August whereas the entries for the Essay competition (Topic- “75 Years of Independence: The Advancement of Chemical Technology”) and Drawing competition (Themes- 1. Portrayal of Women Freedom Fighters 2. Some event related to Freedom Struggle (e.g., Jallianwala Bag) 3. Tiranga with Soldiers) were received till 12 August 2022.
Overall, 85 students participated in these competitions and the best two were selected as winners for each competition. ICT MARJ Director Prof Uday Annapure gave away the certificates and mementos to the winners on 15 August 2022 and all the participants received the participation certificates too.
Along with it, ICT MARJ encouraged the students, support staff and faculties to participate in “Har Ghar Tiranga” event. All of them responded positively and have unfurled National Flag for three days- namely on 13, 14 and 15 of August 2022.
The celebration of Independence Week concluded with “Selfie with Tiranga” event on 15 August 2022. ICT Director Prof Uday Annapure, Deputy Director Dr Parag Nemade, Associate Dean (Industry) Sharad Lahoti Sir, faculty members, support staff and the students enthusiastically participated in this event.
The “Celebration Independence of Week” was organized by Dr Kapil Sagrolikar (Nodal Officer, AICTE), Dr Somen Mondal (Coordinator, Cultural Committee) and Dr Nagsen Meshram (Co-coordinator, Cultural Committee).
